URI’s Multicultural Student Services Center invites all members of the community to nominate an undergraduate or graduate student for the Asian Cultural Ambassador Awards.
The Asian Cultural Ambassador Award at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ honors students who actively promote awareness, appreciation, and celebration of Asian cultures. Established in collaboration with the Chinese Culture Club, the award recognizes individuals who have made meaningful contributions to advancing cross-cultural understanding, uplifting Asian heritage, and fostering a more inclusive campus community. Through their engagement in advocacy, cultural programming, and peer education, recipients serve as ambassadors of connection and unity at URI. Each recipient will receive a $500 award in recognition of their efforts.
Nominations should be by Sunday, April 27 at 11:59 p.m. Students may also self-nominate.
Awards will be presented during the University’s Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month celebration on Wednesday, May 1.
